Hooray for the Easter holidays! We have just over two weeks where we can relax and have some fun. Most importantly, us parents get a break from spending every morning shouting at our children to get ready for school. Here are some fun attractions in London that you won’t want to miss.
Sensational Butterflies at the National History Museum – The National History Museum is always a winner with children and adults alike. But now you can see hundreds of butterflies (photo above). Regular readers will know how I adore a butterfly exhibit. And here you will get to see caterpillars and butterflies, and learn more about these amazing insects.
Jellyfish at the London Aquarium – If you live in/near London, you will have probably been to the Sealife Aquarium many times. Luckily they often add new exhibitions to keep things interesting. The latest is Ocean Invaders, and it is the largest jellyfish exhibit in the UK. You will learn all about jellyfish, as well as see some cool sites.
Spring Into Hamleys – Hamleys is every child’s dream. And besides selling tons and tons of cool toys, they also offer events. This Easter break, there will be free activities every day (including arts and crafts and an Easter Hunt). Plus your little one will be able to meet some of their favourite characters (like Bing and Flop off the telly).
Easter at the Tower of London – There will be loads of activities on at the Tower this Easter. There will be stories (for the little ones) and live performances (for everyone), so you will be learning while having fun. All of which are included with your ticket into the Tower.
The Twits – The Rose Theatre Kingston is known for their amazing family shows. And from the 5th to the 16th April, you will be able to see The Twits. Even if you and/or your child have not read Roald Dahl’s classic, go see the show. I haven’t seen it yet (but I’m going on Thursday). My girl and I are so excited. Have a look at the rehearsal trailer if you want a sneak peek.
There you go – five fun family outings for this Easter holiday. Have fun folks!
