It has been a bit of a crazy week. On Tuesday we took Moozles to get grommets (little tubes which are inserted in her ears to relieve pressure and liquid buildup so she can hear). While there, the consultant discovered that her adenoids had grown back (she had a grommet operation and adenoidectomy a year and a half ago). Adenoids rarely grow back, but my poor girl has terrible luck.
The operation went well, though Moozles had a lot of throat pain when she woke up from her anesthesia. But her pain was eased with a milkshake, cheeseburger and chips. All very healing foods. Moozles recovered much quicker than her first operation, and I sent her back to school on Friday (last time she stayed home for five days). We have noticed a huge difference in her hearing. And I am so relieved that she will be able to properly hear her friends and teachers. Hope this time it lasts for longer than a year.

Oh bless her heart, sounds like she has been really brave. I hope she is feeling better now and I agree that a cheeseburger and chips is a definite recovery source! xx
Aww! Bless her…She has really been through it. Such a brave girl.
I’m glad everything went well and I hope it lasts longer than a year too x
Oh poor girl that is bad luck! I only had to have my adenoids out once but even then it’s one of my lasting memories of being 7 – mostly for the mushy fish and chips I ate afterwards!!
