Simply put – no. Come on, we’ve all seen the adverts. Maybe it’s because I’m kinda middle-aged. Maybe it’s because I’m a Stay-At-Home-Mum and am suppose to love cleaning (I don’t, by the way). I even tweeted about it a few months ago and loads of other mums replied echoing the same sentiment. We weren’t sure why, but we all wanted one.
When I went to an event for Dyson in October, I finally got the chance to use one, which made me want one even more. Well, last month I received my very own Dyson V6 Total Clean. And you know what? It is amazing. We already have a Dyson cylinder vacuum, which we love. But the V6 takes cleaning to whole new level.
First, let me explain that our house is a fixer-upper. Although we’ve renovated the ground floor, the first and second floors are stuck in the 1970s. And the carpeting that runs throughout the stairs and hallways is about 20 years old. Also, our 3-yo son has asthma. So it is really important for us to get our floors and carpet as clean as possible. Plus, we can even use it to clean the car. I don’t know how we lived without it.
And the Total Clean has not disappointed us in the slightest. It sucks up every bit of dirt with ease. It is light and easy to carry around, especially for someone who has back issues (like me). It has a charge time of 3.5 hours which gives you 20 minutes of use. This may not sound like much, but it is when you vacuum regularly. I am not one to do a big weekly 3-hour clean. I like to do a little bit every day. Okay, okay, I make Husband do a bit every day. But he loves the Total Clean, so he doesn’t mind. He can use it to vaccuum the kitchen counters, the floor and even the cobwebs on the ceilings. So feel free to leave this blog post open for your partner to see, and maybe you will find a sexy surprise underneath your Christmas tree. 😉
I was sent the V6 for the purpose of this review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own. I really do love it!
