Look Ma, No Cords Attached

When we bought our previous home, nine years ago, we bought our first Dyson. It felt like the grown-up thing to do. But what you don’t know, is that I detest vacuuming. And the only person who uses that Dyson is my long-suffering husband. I suppose, as a Stay-At-Home-Mum, I should enjoy cleaning. But sadly, I do not. But maybe that is about to change.

Last weekend, along with some other bloggers, I was invited to the Dyson press office in London to try out the V6 range. I had seen the adverts, so was beyond excited to see the V6 up close. And I was not let down. The cordless Dyson are just as cool in real life. We were asked to make a mess (normally I am the one who tries to prevent the mess), then clean it up. And because we’re bloggers, we took a lot of photos (some a bit silly – best example is the bottom photo).

The Dyson V6 has a super powerful motor that sucks up dirt and debris with ease. Good luck finding a more powerful vacuum cleaner. As a mother to an asthmatic child, I care about dirt. I may not enjoy cleaning, but I enjoy having a child who can breathe. And vacuuming dust mites and allergens greatly helps. Happily, the lovely people at Dyson are sending me a V6 Total Clean (exclusive to Currys) to try out at home. So I will let you know how I get on, with no cords attached.

I was invited to visit the Dyson press office to play around with the cordless Dysons (and I will be receiving one). All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
