Awww. My boy. We went to the playground a few days ago and Dubz wanted to go on the swings. He is actually quiteย a scaredy-cat when it comes to swings or even when his daddy throws him around. But he asked to go on the swings, and even swung for a few minutes. A new record. It’s funny how such a small thing really hits home at how Dubz is changing. He turns three in a few months (which I can’t even think about for too long as I just want to sob). He is getting further and further away from being a baby. And I will never have another baby. Pardon me while I go cry in my pillow.
I am linking this post to My Sunday Photo over at OneDad3Girls and Ordinary Moments at MummyDaddyME.
Aww this sounds so similar to my little boy. He’s only just started to get over his fear of swings at 2 and a half, loved them as a baby and then became a big scaredy-cat who just walked from bench to bench at the play park to have a sit down like a little old man haha. Glad Dubz is getting to enjoy them again now. Happy New Year to you all x
They grow up way to fast x I really love his hat very cute x
Awww always groovy with his hat. Amazing how kids can be very very brave to try things that used to scare them. I lesson for me I think =) #MySundayPhoto
Aww! He looks rather pleased with himself….
I love his hat x
I understand exactly how you feel! My son was three in November, and I will also never have another baby. Watching them grow up can be so bittersweet. This is a fab photo though, and I love his hat! #MySundayPhoto
Aww, just look at his little face! My son turned 3 in November and he really is getting so grown up, and more independent by the day! Definitely worth having a weep for. xx
Ok can everyone stop turning 3? It’s not cool babies! Not cool!
ps I love his hat. Hope you find it xxx
Awwww, these moments get me as well, our boys turn 4 next week and can now swing themselves standing up- it makes my heart burst with happiness with a inkling of sadness that they are neither babies or toddlers any longer. I am glad you and he have found happiness in the moment.
Aw so cute and I love his jacket. Both my girls love swings and my littlest is a proper daredevil (she goes down water slides on her own and all sorts at not even 2) but her big sister is a lot more cautious and a bit of a scaredy cat too. It doesn’t look like Dubz is scared anymore though- he looks like he will be a swing fan from now on! ๐ x
He looks like he is loving it there, I think swings may soon become a favourite. I’m popping over from My Sunday Photo but do join me for Country Kids too, it’s a perfect outdoor fun post. Your baby may be growing but there are plenty of fun years just round the corner for you too.
Aww lovely photo, he looks like he’s loving the swing! #mysundayphoto
My boys are so big now. Will is almost taller than me now. John’s pants all hit him at his shins because I hate shopping for bigger clothes for him. Look at your little one on the swing with that smile!
Oh, how time flies. These darn children, always growing.
Awww so sweet and yet so sad. Arthur also really doesn’t like the swings it’s funny!!!
He looks so happy in there bless him!!! Xx
Bless him, he looks so happy there!!! Massive sob fests all round xx
This looks so carefree and such fun
Thank you for linking up
Swings are some of the best memories ever that I have from childhood and I can completely relate to not having more babies and feeling a bit tearful – Little Man turns two in May and it makes me want to cry! No more babies ๐ x
The thing is, I don’t want anymore children. But the thought that my second/last baby is not actually a baby is so sad. I now understand why some people just keep having babies.
He looks very happy in the swing, perhaps it will be his new favourite thing ๐ They grow up way too fast!
