During our recent visit to Pembrokeshire, there was one place we knew we had to visit. My regular readers know that Dubz, my newly-turned three year old son, is obsessed with dinosaurs. Ten minutes from the pretty seaside town of Tenby (and 20 minutes from Bluestone Wales, where we were staying), is The Dinosaur Park.
We started our visit with some dinosaur puzzles and games, followed by a lovely wander through the Dinosaur Trail. The trail took us about 25 minutes to complete it. You could walk it with a buggy, but we did not. We loved finding dinosaurs in the lush and very picturesque forest. And with each dinosaurs, there were plaques with information about them. And you could even hear roars, which really added to the atmosphere. My only issue was that there were two baby dinosaurs, and the sign said they had lost their mummy. So we all thought we would find the mummy. We. Did. Not. *sniff, sniff*
After the trail, we went on slides, rode tractors and let the kids enjoy the playground. There is also an indoor soft play. There are free manned rides, and some £0.2 rides. Tickets for adults cost £9.95, and £9.25 for children. Kids two and under go in free. There is a cafe, but there are also several benches for picnics. We loved the mix of education and fun. We only spent two hours here, but could have easily spent the entire day. Have a look at the photos and vlog to see what fun we got up to.
