As an American living in the UK, I don’t always ‘get’ British personalities. But you know who I randomly like? Ant and Dec. They’re quite silly, but are aware that they are silly. And I love the running joke that no one can tell them apart. I couldn’t for years, but now I have a trick. Ant is the opposite of an ant because he’s the tall one. Obviously if they are both sitting down then my trick doesn’t work as well. But they will eventually stand up!
I just found out that Ant and Dec are going on tour with their Saturday Night Takeaway Live show. Besides guests, they are giving away prizes and you could end up in the show. I perused the ITV website, and you can nominate a friend or family member who is going to watch the live show. They want funny, naughty or cringeworthy stories.
I racked my brain trying to think of some cringeworthy stories, but I could not think of any as I never embarrass myself. I am definitely not the type of person who would get so drunk and call my husband to let him know that I was passing out on the last train home. So he would not have needed to rush to the train station to come get me. He would not have needed to then jump onto my train since I was fast asleep. And we would definitely not have needed to take a taxi to the previous station to get our car since the next station was miles from our home station. Nope, no embarrassing stories here.
Ant & Dec’s Takeaway on Tour will be live at the O2 on the 29th and 30th August 2014.
