As I strolled over Waterloo bridge, a bridge I have walked across hundreds of time, I gave a deep sigh. I am always amazed by this view. It is beautiful on both sides, though the side with the London Eye and Big Ben is my favourite. London is so different than any of the cities in which I have lived. Even San Francisco, which is cosmopolitan and full of character, does not compare to the rich contrasts of London. Old and new side-by-side, divided by a 215 mile river and filled with several parks and a whole lotta people. What’s not to love?

That view is amazing. I will never tire of London x
Great shot. There are so many lovely views along the South Bank. Always one of my favourite walks when we’re in London. Hopefully now the weather is warming up we will do some more in the coming months.
Now I know where that is, my Country Kids post this week comes from there, it isn’t often I say that about London. Love the way you’ve taken this looking down on the South Bank
I love London, so when my daughter turned down the opportunity to study abroad in London for the summer I was so disappointed! I had fully planned to be there as well–she ruined my summer! 🙂
Fantastic picture. There really is so much to see. I do love London.
What a wonderful photo. I love London- it’s the only big city I could imagine myself living in. #MySundayPhoto
Oh yes, that mixture of old and new and that sense of connection to such a rich history is what makes London so special. I’m hoping to take the kids into the city more often now they’re a little bit older. X
Going to the Southbank is not too bad with the kids as it is just one train to Waterloo. I’m not brave enough to take both of mine on the tube by myself.
Never get bored of this view, I love the Southbank so much
Thank you for linking up
The view from Waterloo Bridge is one of fabulous things about London. Great capture.

I adore London too. Now that I don’t live there any more, I jus love the odd occasion when I do venture in…as a tourist. Great pic too. X
You are so lucky to be able to see this beauty always! #mysundayphoto
What a great photo. I’m rarely in London. It’s such a beautiful city. Lovely sunny spring day x
