Keeping Cool With Dyson Pure Cool

I’m from California, so you might think I enjoy the heat. But warm weather in the UK is not agreeable. Apart from some shops, most places do not have air conditioning. You are constantly feeling a bit too hot and too stuffy. But I like my home to be a cool and comfortable oasis. Normally we use some fans in the bedrooms and a big, clunky pedestal fan in the living room. But not this year. For the past three weeks, we have been keeping cool with our new Dyson Pure Cool Desk Fan.

There are so many positives about the pure cool fan. As you can see from the top photo, and the next one below, there are no blades. That means that my children can stick their heads and hands in and I don’t have to yell ask ‘stop trying to touch the blades’ every five minutes. It is completely safe. This means a lot when you have young children and you cannot keep an eye on them every second.

The pure cool fan is powerful. It can keep an entire room cool on one of the lower settings. But that doesn’t mean it is loud. In fact, we have been sleeping with it on, and it just acts as white noise. I get really hot at night (even during the winter I keep the window open, much to Husband’s dismay). But with the pure fan, we can keep the windows closed. This is especially good when it is hot and there is no air/wind blowing. Also, I suffer from hay fever, so keeping the windows closed keeps the pollen out.

Speaking of hay fever, the pure fan isn’t just a fan. It also acts as an air purifier. It removes 99.95% of the allergens and pollutants in the air. Dubz has asthma so I will often put the fan on in his room before bedtime to cool and clean his bedroom. A few weeks ago, when there was a crazy dust cloud in London, blown in from the Middle East, I was sneezing every time I went outdoors. So I spent most of that time in my house, with the doors and windows closed and with my pure fan on. It was a godsend.

If you’re think of getting the Dyson pure cool fan, I can’t recommend it enough. It is not cheap at £349.99, but it is well worth the price. We have been carrying ours from downstairs to upstairs as needed but plan to buy another one as it has more than proven itself. It also comes with a remote control, so you don’t have to get up to adjust the fan. And because it is Dyson, and they love good technology, you can monitor the air from the Dyson app on your smartphone. Who doesn’t want cool, clean, modern air??!
